吉利學(xué)院是經(jīng)教育部批準(zhǔn)獨立設(shè)置的全日制民辦普通本科高校，由世界500強企業(yè)吉利控股集團(tuán)于1999年在北京創(chuàng)建，前身為北京吉利大學(xué)。2014年4月30日，經(jīng)教育部批準(zhǔn)升格為本科高校并更名為北京吉利學(xué)院。

2014年2月26日，習(xí)近平總書記視察首都北京，提出了疏解非首都核心功能戰(zhàn)略。吉利學(xué)院認(rèn)真貫徹落實習(xí)近平總書記2·26講話精神，努力踐行疏解非首都核心功能戰(zhàn)略,主動向有關(guān)部門提請搬遷至成都市辦學(xué)。在教育部、北京市、四川省、成都市和北京大學(xué)的大力支持下，2020年3月30日，經(jīng)教育部批準(zhǔn)學(xué)校整體搬遷至成都市辦學(xué)，更名為吉利學(xué)院。

學(xué)校認(rèn)真貫徹落實黨和國家的教育方針，堅持社會主義辦學(xué)方向，堅持立德樹人根本任務(wù)，以習(xí)近平新時代中國特色社會主義思想為指導(dǎo)，全面加強黨的政治建設(shè)和思想建設(shè)，努力踐行社會主義核心價值觀，培養(yǎng)德智體美勞全面發(fā)展的社會主義建設(shè)者和接班人。學(xué)校按照李書福董事長提出的“走進(jìn)校園是為了更好地走向社會”的校訓(xùn)，充分發(fā)揮吉利控股集團(tuán)企業(yè)辦校優(yōu)勢，著力深化產(chǎn)教融合、校企合作協(xié)同育人，為區(qū)域經(jīng)濟社會發(fā)展培養(yǎng)德智體美勞全面發(fā)展，基礎(chǔ)理論扎實、實踐能力和創(chuàng)新意識強、綜合素質(zhì)高的具有國際視野的應(yīng)用型人才。

學(xué)校地處成渝地區(qū)雙城經(jīng)濟圈的橋頭堡-成都東部新區(qū)，地理位置優(yōu)越，毗鄰成簡快速路、第二繞城高速、廈蓉高速和渝蓉高速；距離天府國際機場30分鐘車程；規(guī)劃建設(shè)中的成都地鐵13號線在學(xué)校南門設(shè)站，直達(dá)成都市中心。

學(xué)校辦學(xué)用地2000畝，規(guī)劃總建筑面積120萬平方米。按照百年高校的建設(shè)目標(biāo)，秉承人與建筑、自然和諧共生的理念，以規(guī)劃建設(shè)中國智造的創(chuàng)夢校園、五元平衡的溫馨校園、共享互通的智慧校園、山水交融的生態(tài)校園的先進(jìn)理念，運用人工智能、大數(shù)據(jù)、云計算、物聯(lián)網(wǎng)等先進(jìn)技術(shù)， 建設(shè)現(xiàn)代化、國際化、生態(tài)化的智美校園。

學(xué)校不斷優(yōu)化學(xué)科專業(yè)布局，工學(xué)、文學(xué)、經(jīng)濟學(xué)、管理學(xué)、教育學(xué)、法學(xué)、理學(xué)、藝術(shù)學(xué)、體育學(xué)等多學(xué)科協(xié)調(diào)發(fā)展。以數(shù)字化為引領(lǐng)，聚焦汽車產(chǎn)業(yè)與電子信息產(chǎn)業(yè)，重點建設(shè)與成渝經(jīng)濟圈和吉利集團(tuán)產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展密切的應(yīng)用型學(xué)科專業(yè)。對接成渝地區(qū)雙城經(jīng)濟圈汽車、電子信息兩大萬億產(chǎn)業(yè)，做強智能科技專業(yè)集群；發(fā)揮集團(tuán)辦學(xué)、產(chǎn)教融合優(yōu)勢，做優(yōu)經(jīng)濟管理專業(yè)集群；適應(yīng)新時代人民美好生活需要，做特人文藝術(shù)專業(yè)集群。

學(xué)校現(xiàn)設(shè)有汽車工程學(xué)院、智能科技學(xué)院、商學(xué)院、盛寶金融科技學(xué)院、教育學(xué)院、數(shù)字媒體與表演學(xué)院、外國語言與文化學(xué)院、藝術(shù)設(shè)計學(xué)院、體育與健康學(xué)院、航空航天學(xué)院10個二級學(xué)院和博雅學(xué)院、馬克思主義學(xué)院、創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)學(xué)院、國際教育學(xué)院。設(shè)有車輛工程、新能源汽車工程、數(shù)據(jù)科學(xué)與大數(shù)據(jù)技術(shù)、人工智能、藝術(shù)設(shè)計學(xué)、產(chǎn)品設(shè)計、財務(wù)管理、電子商務(wù)、金融科技、廣播電視編導(dǎo)、表演、運動康復(fù)、飛行器制造等40個本科專業(yè)。

學(xué)校創(chuàng)新構(gòu)建了“六雙”“六融合”人才培養(yǎng)體系，秉承“走進(jìn)校園是為了更好地走向社會”的校訓(xùn)，構(gòu)建了“520”綜合素質(zhì)教育體系。圍繞學(xué)生理想信念、可持續(xù)發(fā)展能力、精英特質(zhì)、人文素養(yǎng)、身心健康的5大核心素養(yǎng)，20項關(guān)鍵能力，形成100門特色通識課程，培養(yǎng)合格的社會主義建設(shè)者和接班人。

學(xué)校依托吉利控股集團(tuán)企業(yè)辦校優(yōu)勢，打造一流的教學(xué)軟硬件環(huán)境和實踐性教學(xué)平臺。依據(jù)學(xué)生在校期間的需求和成長過程，形成了工程認(rèn)知、工程實踐、現(xiàn)代汽車技術(shù)、創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)等實踐教學(xué)體系。學(xué)校與行業(yè)領(lǐng)軍企業(yè)合作建設(shè)“數(shù)字化制造工程中心”和“超算中心”等高精尖實驗實訓(xùn)室；高標(biāo)準(zhǔn)建設(shè)一批“實踐基地和產(chǎn)業(yè)學(xué)院”、“實驗教學(xué)示范中心”、“共享性實訓(xùn)基地”為學(xué)生提供真實多維度的實習(xí)實訓(xùn)及生產(chǎn)應(yīng)用場所。學(xué)?，F(xiàn)有1個國家緊缺人才中心、1個省級實驗教學(xué)示范中心、是四川省人社廳公務(wù)員、建造師等職業(yè)資格社會化考試考點，獲批新能源（電動）汽車診斷維修技師認(rèn)證中心，國家級“二手車鑒定評估師認(rèn)證中心”，擁有57個校外實訓(xùn)基地、116個實驗實訓(xùn)室、17500平米的汽車工程試驗實訓(xùn)中心、3000平米創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)學(xué)院和181間智慧教室。

Geely University of China is a full-time private undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, founded in Beijing in 1999 by Geely Holdings Group (a Fortune 500 company), formerly known as Beijing Geely University. In 2014, it was promoted to an undergraduate university with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed Beijing Geely University. On March 30, 2020, the Ministry of Education approved the overall relocation of Beijing Geely University to Chengdu and its renaming to Geely University of China.

Geely University of China is located in the West-South opening gateway of China and new engine of economic development - Longquan Lakeside of Chengdu Eastern New Area, with 2,000 mu of land for schooling and a total planned construction area of 1.2 million square meters. Geely University of China has adopted artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, Internet of Things, etc. in building an ecological, humanistic, international, intelligent and beautiful campus in compliance with the goal of building a century-old university. In doing so, the University has been upholding the harmonious coexistence of human beings, architecture and nature as well as pursuing "Four Major Goals" for a university enabling Intelligent Manufacturing in China, balanced comprehensive layout, sharing and interconnection, and favorable landscape.

Geely University of China is digital-oriented, with coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as economics, management, education, literature, law, art, and science, and now has forty undergraduate programs. Eight secondary schools have been established, namely, School of Automotive Engineering, School of Intelligent Technology, School of Business, Saxo Fintech School, School of Humanities, School of Art and Design, School of Sports and Health, School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, as well as Liberal Arts School, School of Marxism and School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Geely University of China has been optimizing its discipline layout with its merits in engineering and building professional communities around automotive research, industry, sales and service based on the "Four Modernization" of automobile industry (electrification, networking, intelligence and sharing.) along with its industry chain. Economics, management and art are the characteristic disciplines of the University: building national and provincial first-class disciplines and professional communities around the intelligent manufacturing of advanced automobiles and the construction of Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.

Based on Geely Holding Group's advantages in R&D, production, products and human resources, Geely University of China has transformed into the University's academic, educational, research and teaching resources. With the support of Geely Holding Group, a Fortune 500 company with global vision, the University has built a 100-million high-tech industrial experimental training room, and added 20 million experimental instruments and equipment every year. Deep industry-education integration with well-known international and domestic enterprises and school-enterprise cooperation will provide students with real multidimensional places for internship, training, practice and production and application. The University has provided first-class hardware and software facilities and a practical teaching platform to improve students' practical training and overall qualities. Peking University provides strategic support for Geely University of China. By setting up the "Western Research Institute of Peking University" in Geely University of China, it will provide substantial support to the construction of disciplines and specialties, the construction of faculties, scientific research and innovation, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. The University will strive to become a model for the integrated development and innovative development of public and private universities, drawing on the advantages of Peking University's Double First-Class resources.

Geely University of China has been exploring the industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation.
